When medicine moved away from religion and began to really take off, doctors practiced on guesswork. They had big ideas yet no knowledge or way to achieve them. Some of the very first transplants attempted were various forms of skin grafts. Eventually doctors attempted different procedures using humans, animals, and even plants. The procedures would include skin grafts, limb transplants, teeth transplants, and organ transplants.
